The Purple carrot has a deep purple exterior, but when they are cut into, a bright orange interior is revealed. They grow up to seven inches long with a tapered end. They are very sweet and tender. Like most carrots, they prefer sandy soil as the roots grow straight down. The Purple carrot is definitely a unique addition to any salad or relish tray.
