The tomatoes are taking over the garden! Of course this isn’t a bad thing, but it can be a little overwhelming when you simply run out of ways to use these delicious fruits. And most of us don’t have a lot of time to spend on preparing tomatoes in various ways.

So to celebrate an abundance of tomatoes, we’ve put together some ideas for ways to use the tomatoes that seem to be suddenly everywhere. Plus, they can all be thrown together in a few minutes and really showcase the flavor of the tomato!

Salsa Fresca: Throw together a delicious fresh salsa by combining chopped tomatoes, diced onion, garlic, chiles, lime or lemon juice, salt, and chopped fresh cilantro.

Caprese Salad: This Italian favorite is just tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, salt, and and olive oil. It is very refreshing and VERY easy to put together!

Grilled Tomatoes: Having a BBQ? Throw a few big, firm, sliced tomatoes on the grill and enjoy!

Fresh Tomato Pasta: Toss together some diced tomatoes, fresh basil, salt, pepper, cheese, and olive oil with cooked pasta for a fast meal.

BLTs: Cut nice, thick pieces of tomato and make a sandwich with cooked bacon, lettuce, your favorite bread, and mayo.
