Thyme is a hardy perennial herb originating in the Mediterranean. It can grow both indoors and out, and it is fairly easy to care for. Thyme also tends to be free of pests, making it a great low-maintenance garden addition. The thyme leaves can also be great to have around for all kinds of recipes.

    Planting, Growing, and Harvesting:
Plant thyme in a sunny area—preferably a spot with full sun—with well-drained soil. Thyme does not require a lot of water, and actually prefers to be a bit dry. Give water every so often, but be sure not to overdo it.

Thyme is low-growing, and usually gets between 8-12” tall. You will enjoy Thyme’s aromatic leaves in the garden.

    Recipes/How to Use:
Use thyme in various recipes, such as sauces, meats, vegetables, soups, stews, and more.
