Early spring is asparagus time! This delicious vegetable is fast and easy to prepare. Try the following recipe for a simple way to cook asparagus that takes only a few minutes and some basic ingredients.
1 bunch of fresh washed asparagus (about a pound)
1 T. olive oil
1 T. Balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning blend
Salt and pepper to taste
- Trim off the rough ends of the asparagus.
- Heat the oil in a pan and add garlic and asparagus. Cook the asparagus, turning to ensure an even coat of oil, for about 5 minutes.
- Add the vinegar and spices, and cook for about 3 minutes more until asparagus is cooked through and has changed color.
